Casual Glam is a term that I began using in 2001 when I began working with digital indie recording artists. At the time I thought it was a great and it was a great way to get a conversation starter. People would ask me how someone achieves a Casual Glam sense of style. Simply put, I have always felt that it meant someone who had their own distinctive style and loved playing with it to add various elements to it. In addition, this person was fierce and fearless! The Casual Glam girl is never afraid to wear amazing jewelry that typically would be worn at night with an LBD in the day with jeans! This has always been my style. I have always been the tank top and denim girl with flip flops and in the winter, this look may change with a t-shirt and a pair of heels or cute boots. It is a simple look that can be worn anywhere but I love to add my touches including amazing jewelry pieces, pops of color with the shoes and more.

I guess this sensibility lead me to two of my passions, one being the Editor of two blogs – See Pretty Things http://www.seeprettythings.com (which focuses on accessories on a daily basis – this was named the Best Accessories Blog 2006 by Accessories Magazine) and then The Kitten Loungehttp://www.thekittenlounge.com (which is a style and entertainment blog). I love sharing my take on great pieces that you can wear no matter what your look! It is my belief that true fashion emerges not when you buy what is being shown to you as a package but what you select from various elements. which is a resort inspired line including natural stones and shells. This is definitely my take on style and I love that the lariats allow you to wear them in a variety of ways.

So why am I saying all of this? I am excited to be sharing the knowledge that I have acquired through the years while working in the Fashion industry as a model, visual merchandiser, currently working on the corporate side of the business and more. If you love being introduced to designers that are emerging or are names that you aren’t familiar with, you’re going to love Casual Glam. My purpose is merely to provide options and to let you know that the same piece can be worn in various ways and that the only parameter involved is that there are no parameters. You will enjoy my primary focus which is accessories along with apparel and beauty as well. I love feedback as I want this to be an open exchange and journey - I love learning about new brands too!
